Best Business in Enfield Awards and community 2026 Winners announced

Celebrating Enfield's Unsung Heroes Who Make a Real Difference Every Day 2026

The “very best” of Enfield’s community spirit was on display as hundreds of residents, businesses, charities, schools and community organisations came together to celebrate the people making a genuine difference at the Enfield Business Awards 2026.

Held at the Dugdale Arts Centre in the heart of Enfield Town, the annual awards have quickly become one of the borough’s most anticipated celebrations of local achievement, recognising not only outstanding businesses but also the individuals whose passion, dedication and commitment help make Enfield a stronger, more connected place to live and work.

Now in its fourth year, the awards have evolved far beyond a traditional business event. While entrepreneurship, innovation and commercial success remain central to the programme, equal importance is placed on recognising those who quietly transform lives behind the scenes. From volunteers and teachers to charity leaders, healthcare professionals and community champions, the event shines a spotlight on people whose daily efforts often go unnoticed but whose impact is felt throughout the borough.

Guests from across Enfield gathered to celebrate inspiring stories of resilience, leadership and generosity, creating an atmosphere filled with pride, emotion and optimism. Throughout the afternoon, winners, finalists and supporters applauded the achievements of organisations and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving the lives of others, strengthening local communities and helping Enfield continue to thrive.

One of the most moving moments of the ceremony came with the presentation of the Community Champion Award to Cathy Werrell. In a carefully orchestrated surprise, colleagues and teachers worked together to bring Cathy to the venue without revealing she had been selected as this year’s recipient. As her name was announced, the audience rose to its feet in a heartfelt standing ovation, recognising years of selfless service and unwavering dedication to the community. It was a powerful reminder that the true success of Enfield is measured not only by thriving businesses but by the remarkable people whose kindness, compassion and commitment make a lasting difference every single day.

Enfield Business Awards 2026 Recognise Outstanding Businesses and Community Champions ⭐

The continued success of the Enfield Business Awards reflects the strength, resilience and diversity of the borough’s business and community sectors. From independent retailers and family-run businesses to innovative start-ups, charities, schools and voluntary organisations, the awards recognise the people whose hard work contributes to Enfield’s economic growth while making a positive difference to the lives of local residents.

Throughout the afternoon, guests heard inspiring stories of determination, creativity and perseverance from finalists representing a wide range of industries. Each nomination demonstrated that success is measured by more than financial performance alone. Many of the organisations recognised have invested heavily in supporting their communities through fundraising, education, environmental initiatives, apprenticeships and local partnerships, creating opportunities that extend far beyond their own businesses.

The awards also provided an opportunity for local organisations to connect, collaborate and celebrate each other’s achievements. Business owners, community leaders, educators and charity representatives shared ideas, forged new relationships and reinforced the importance of working together to create a stronger future for Enfield. The atmosphere throughout the event reflected a genuine sense of pride in everything the borough has accomplished over the past year.

Organiser Garry Kousoulou, Founder of Loving Social Media, thanked everyone who had supported the awards, from sponsors and judges to volunteers and attendees. He emphasised that the awards were created to showcase the incredible talent that exists within Enfield and to ensure that businesses and individuals receive the recognition they deserve for their contribution to the local community.

“As the awards continue to grow each year, our mission remains exactly the same,” he said. “We want to celebrate excellence, inspire others and remind people that behind every successful business and every thriving community are passionate individuals who genuinely care about making a difference.”

With attendance continuing to increase and nominations reaching record levels, the Enfield Business Awards have firmly established themselves as one of the borough’s flagship annual celebrations of enterprise, leadership and community spirit.

BEST TEACHER IN ENFIELD AWARDS 2026

This award exists because of a student.

A while back, a young person told us about a teacher who’d stayed behind, believed in them when no one else did, and changed the course of their year — maybe their life. That one story stuck with us, and it made us realise how many other teachers, tutors and instructors across Enfield are quietly doing the same thing every single day, with almost no recognition at all. So we decided to give them some.

This afternoon, the list draws down to our top three. Every single teacher on this list deserves recognition — somebody cared enough to put their name forward, and that alone tells you they’re amazing at what they do. Good luck to all our finalists. We’re announcing the top three live on the show at 9am.

The nominations are in, and we want to take a moment to recognise every teacher, tutor, instructor and educator who has been nominated by the people of Enfield.

Thank you for the incredible work you do every day to inspire, support and shape the next generation.

Congratulations to our nominees — please tag them in if you know them:

Reflecting on the success of this year's event, organiser Garry Kousoulou said the Enfield Business Awards have always been about far more than trophies and titles. Instead, they exist to recognise the people whose commitment, kindness, and determination help shape a stronger, more vibrant borough. "These awards are about much more than business," Garry said. "They're about recognising the people who give their time, passion and energy to make Enfield a better place. "Seeing the community come together and witnessing Cathy receive such a heartfelt surprise reminded us exactly why these awards matter. Moments like that capture the true spirit of Enfield and demonstrate the incredible impact that ordinary people can have when they dedicate themselves to supporting others."
